Erasmus Plus Project 2016 1 IT02 KA101 023229 "On the Horizon"

"On the Horizon" is the Erasmus Plus Project  2016-1-IT02-KA101-023229 of Liceo Scientifico Statale "Galileo Galilei" of Bitonto (Bari), Italy. It consisted in a  1-year planning of preparatory, training, developing and follow-up activities, including a 4-week residential tailored course for the Cambridge IGCSE staff,  which took place in July-September  2016. Such a project was purposefully  devised to meet the main teachers' needs deriving from the daily challenge of using English as a language tool to instruct, explain, train our students in different subjects such as Maths, Physics, Geography, Science. The new process of Internationalisation of Curricula, achieved through our Cambridge IGCSE Course, has been increasingly gaining interest over these last years, and we've been  considering the importance to measure up to the new teaching demands and thus face this new educational  challenge   with confidence and enthusiasm.  This 1-year project has thus represented an extraordinary opportunity to develop, enhance and refine our global teaching action and a priceless endowment for the entire school community. Furthermore, it will certainly encourage other teachers to invest in this new international profile, so that students will benefit.
